West Park were invited to tender for the Partitions, Ceilings, Doors and Tea Points on this colourful and exciting project for Cityspace Management in Southwark Street in Central London. West Park worked with the design team to help create a live and exciting space for the client. With budget a key factor, West Park re-used the 12mm single glazing and 44mm timber doors across 75% of the floor helping to create a large saving for the client.
“Cityspace Management have found West Park to be very professional in all our dealings with them. They have delivered all projects on time, to the given budget and with excellent service.’ Andrew Seward - Managing Director”
West Park constructed 100mm plasterboard partitions from raised floor to the existing SAS metal ceiling. The 100mm partition was made up of a 50mm metal stud and two layers of 12.5mm plasterboard with a 25mm isowool quilt in the cavity. The ceiling height was too high to run the glazing full height, so West Park constructed a 100mm bulkhead above the glazed modules that worked seamlessly with the 100mm solid around it. The timber doors were re-used from the previous floor plan but had to be removed and re-installed with the utmost care and attention to meet the clients high quality expectations.
West Park were also asked to create a timber plywood feature detail in each of the meeting rooms. The detail ended up consisting of an unfinished Wisa Birch product that was pinned straight to the finished wall. The main reception consists of a much larger version that was laid out in a brick effect formation that really “wow’s” clients as they enter the reception area.
