Case study: Jellyfish

West Park were invited to tender for the Partitions, ceiling alterations, doors and tea points on the 22nd floor of one of the most famous buildings in the world, The Shard. Jellyfish are a market leader in the online marketing industry, so the quality of work and detail they demanded felt right at home in a building of such magnitude. Working with the incumbent contractors within the shard to make sure ceilings were removed and installed in sequence with other trades was of paramount importance.
The feature reception needs to be seen to be believed. The design is almost an impossibility, but West Park’s professional on site team produced an item that really should have been entered into an awards ceremony. The detail and level of skill shown by the installation team and tape and jointing contractor would not be out of place in any of the Palaces of the city. The feature ceiling above the tea point is another work of art that took all of the skill of the West Park joinery team to set out and install.
The Shard is a very prestigious building to work in and the delivery schedules have to be perfect. West Park’s project management team had to work with the buildings security and loading bay personnel to make sure all deliveries and labour were arranged and inducted in a safe and secure manner.
