Case study: Lonrho

Lonrho aspired to create a contemporary and sophisticated workspace for their staff and visitors. The West Park team helped the design team incorporate bespoke 'smoked oak' timber partition details throughout the floor. The effect is a really clean crisp feel that works in a tight space helping to give the feel of much more room than is actually available. Set at the top of a new high rise giving great views across the city, the details on getting materials into the building had to be arranged with the site team every day to make sure the project was handed over on time and snag free.

The 100mm solid partitions comprise of a 50mm metal stud with two layers of 12.5mm plasterboard each side with a 25mm isowool insulation in the cavity. The MF ceilings are single skinned taped and jointed to give the solid walls a flush effect that really opens up the space.
